EVOLVEO, a leading supplier of customer electronics with a strong Czech tradition, now presents another product from their multimedia boxes: it combines a set-top box with an Android multimedia box in one device.
EVOLVEO has responded to the demand resulting from the transition to the new DVB-T2 standard, since classic set-top boxes work only as terrestrial broadcasting receivers and do not support, for example, Video On Demand (VOD), DLNA media sharing, internet connection, and managing your own video library.
The EVOLVEO Hybrid Box T2 has all these additional functions, thus becoming a universal player and receiver for most users on the current market. Czech and Slovak interface is supported. The device has pre-installed and unmodified Android 9 Pie (AOSP). Both everyday and more demanding users can use the advanced functions and apps available in Google Play.
The EVOLVEO Hybrid Box T2 has a DVB-T/T2/C tuner which supports the currently ending digital (DVB-T) connection, the new digital (DVB-T2) connection, as well as the cable (DVB-C) connection. Programme tuning and control is done in a special pre-installed app. There is an option to automatically launch an app after turning on the device. The device includes popular functions such as EPG (timer recording support), automatic channel tuning and sorting, TimeShift, parental lock, teletext, Czech subtitles, and others.
The device has a quad-core 64-bit processor 1.8 GHz ARM Cortex A53, the graphics chip Mali-450 MP 750 MHz, 3 GB RAM, and 16 GB internal memory. Internet connection via dual-band WiFi 2.4/5.8 GHz, 802.11b/g/n/ac or the ethernet LAN network using an RJ45 with 100 Mbps. HDMI standard 2.0 output is used for the picture, which supports HDR10+ (compatible with older HDMIs). For audio, users can use the optical audio output connector (SPDIF). Peripherals or external HDD can be connected using USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 (includes 2 USB ports). MicroSDHC/SDXC card slot is also available. Bluetooth 4.2 support.
